Chinese Green Electricity Certificate "GECs"

Hi!

 

It came to my knowledge that USGBC does not accept Chinese Green Electricity Certificate "GECs". 

Allthough I have heard that projects have been usning GECs and earned credits anyway. (not sure how and if that is true)

Does anyone know why USGBC does not approve GECs?

And does anyone have experiense working with projects in China using GECs?

Not sure about the Chinese GECs but projects can demonstrate Green-e equivilance. See the LEED v4.1 guide for details. https://www.usgbc.org/articles/leed-link-leed-v41-guides
