Climate Smart Wood Working Group

The Climate Smart Wood Group meeting will be on January 24th at 11AM PST.

Hello again, everyone. At the January meeting of the Climate Smart Wood Group (CSWG) we addressed the ongoing question about the identity of our group vis-a-vis the "other" Climate Smart Wood Group: Home - Climate Smart Group (climatesmartwood.net). The two groups have essentially the same mission, albeit at significantly different scales.  Seemed like a no-brainer to merge our group with the other.  As of this post, the SDL CSWG is disbanding and re-forming as the peer network affiliated with non-profit CSWG. We will continue to use the same meeting (invite posted below) for the time being, so there shouldn't be any hitch for those who are interested in joining or continuing to participate. Finally, a note of appreciation to those who founded the SDL CSWG and set in motion a lot of valuable sharing of knowledge around wood, forests, carbon, responsible material sourcing, etc.  I don't know who all was in the original group, but it included several folks who will remain active in the new group: Clark Brockman, Kristin Dotson, Josh Cabot, and others.  Hope to see you all at the next meeting.
