Dear GBCI team,
We are starting an ID+C project. This will be done in 2 phases. Basement floor, ground floor and P1 is the first phase, and floors 2,3,4 and 5 are the second phase. The second phase also includes the inclusion of photovoltaic panels throughout the roof.
We want to carry out two separate projects, one for each phase, since the projects are carried out by different teams.
Is it possible to take into account for Phase 1, the proportional part of photovoltaic panels even if they are built a few months later?
Thank you.
Best regard,

I think the PV array has to be installed in order to count.

"thumbs up" to Marcus!
I don't believe the v4 reference guide specifically addressess this particular situation, but the July 2023 edition of the v4.1 ID+C Reference Guide states: "On-site renewable systems must be installed and commissioned prior to the final LEED construction phase project submission to qualify for on-site renewable energy generation credit."
My guess is that v4 projects would get reviewed against the aforelisted v4.1 requirement.
You could delay the LEED application on Phase 1 (up to 2 years after certificate of occupancy) if needed; sounds like this would be enough time to install and Cx the renewables.
