The project has an ECS plan in place for construction, silt fences etc. There was a large rain event and ultimately the City observed and documented sediment-laden runoff leaving the site and ultimately entering a nearby creek. They have since rectified the issue and filled incidence of non compliance with the IEPA. Has anyone had experience with the best way to document for LEED?

Hi Taylor, couple of options:
- You don't actually need to document this - the LEED form asks for the plan and how it was implemented, but LEED doesn't require that you report incidents the way the state EPA does. So you can just provide reports from other points during construction, or a narrative of practices implemented, and it won't be an issue that this incident is missing.
- If you want to include it - I'd recommend providing the follow up report that confirms the issue was corrected. LEED does not require that the project never allow any runoff, just that there is a plan including corrective actions for when things go wrong. So including that follow up report will show that the plan was in place and the recommended action taken.
