food scrap vs compost

One thing to consider, at least in California, is how to compost both food scrap and plant materials in commercial offices? For example the City of Sunnyvale requires food scrap composting in offices and not plant materials.

The credit language says to collect food waste, and if applicable, the vegetation trimmings.

Food waste is potentially easier to address with a project that has a kitchen because it deals with occupants rather than a vendor.
