I have a library project that has a recording studio in the basement. After reviewing the lighting control drawing, the space only have an ON/OFF switch with vacancy sensor. After checking this space out under the IEQ Space Matrix, this room closely matches with a private office. Since there's only 3 office-like spaces in the library, including the recording studio, this compromises Lighting Control compliance since 2/3 individual occupant spaces with acceptable lighting controls would only be 67%, which is less than the 90% minimum.
But the thing is, no one is regularly occupying the space, the lighting inside are usually OFF cause no one is using the room often. Could it be possible to omit this room from compliance or explain as to how it does not need multi-mode or dimming lighting switch?
We need at least one point from this credit to help meet our certification goals. I appreciate any help
