We are working on a hotel project. I can see where tables 2 and 4 relate directly o clothres washin gnas kitchen equipment, but I wonder about table 5 - Discharge water temperature tempering.
The requirements are:
Where local requirements limit discharge temperature of fluids into drainage system, use tempering device that runs water only when equipment discharges hot water
OR
Provide thermal recovery heat exchanger that cools drained discharge water below code-required maximum discharge
temperatures while simultaneously preheating inlet makeup water
OR
If fluid is steam condensate, return it to boiler
If there is no discharge temperature limit in our location, is this a moot point?
If not, is this for boilers only, or would it apply to clothes washing machines and/or dishwashers?

This portion of this credit is not my forte, but I would think that it still applies to your project, and you'd be expected to adhere to one of the OR statements you have listed above. You could still opt for that first option for locations that have the requirements, even if yours doesn't.
If someone else doesn't chime in who can more specifically advise, I'd reach out to LEED Coach for clarity to be safe.
