In the first paragraph, delete "Gas ranges must have hoods that exhaust directly to the outdoors." and replace with the following paragraph: "All residential units must include a local exhaust system in all bathrooms and kitchens to meet the prerequisite requirements for ASHRAE 62.1-2010 (Section 5.16.1 and Section 6.5 including Table 6-4). In kitchens, a vented range hood or ceiling/wall mounted exhaust fan in the kitchen area may be used to meet this requirement. Projects are required to provide kitchen exhaust regardless of whether cooking appliances are electric or gas. "
