Film installed in glazing partitions

We're working on a project that will install a film on indoor glazing partitions for privacy purposes in meeting rooms and some private offices.

1) Do we have to include this film within our daylight model?

2) Is there a min/max threshold which defines when we have to acknowledge (or not) this film in the glazing partitios of our model?

Thank you,

Hi, if the film just lowers the VT,  you can approximate it by lowering the VT of the glass its being placed on (e.g. 80% transparent film on 60% glass ~ 48% VT glass).  According to LM-83-12, p 8, 5% accuracy is asked for in these models. Good luck!

This would mean that the glazing portion of the film will have ~48% of the glazing’s VT. If my glazing has 84VT, the total assembly would be ~62VT? 48%*84VT=40VT (Film portion)  (40VT+84VT)/2= 62VT
