ILFI LBC - H1 Lubricants and Red List

Hello! We are currently working on an LBC Petal project pursuing the Materials Petal. Does anyone know whether H1 lubricants are inherently Red List Free given they are food grade lubricants? We are trying to figure out whether NSF H1 registered lubricants need ingredient reporting or whether the NSF registration works similar to Delcare, RoHS, etc.

Thanks!

I don't know anything about requirements for NSF H1 designation but I would imagine if you are using a lubricant like that it is for a specific purpose and can't be engineered out of the project so even if you don't have transparency disclosure you'll still going to be able to get it accepted via due diligence since there won't be other Declared vendors available. But I wouldn't count on it being inherently red list free without an ingredient list specific to the product, in my opinion. Steven Burke. (That said, this seems like exactly the type of product the 10% bucket was made for if you're doing LBC v4) Steven Burke. LEED & WELL Faculty Director Of Sustainability m: 774.462.2044 consigli.com
