How interested are you in a Sustainable MEP Leaders Summit this summer?
Please respond to this poll ASAP, as we need to gauge interest before we finalize any details.
When: Wed. July 26 at noon to Thurs. July 27 at 1:30.
Where: At a conference facility near Boston
Cost: $1200, which includes lodging, meals, and professional facilitation
We haven’t met in person since before Covid. Is it time to reconvene? You've told us that you value this network because it helps you keep your finger on the pulse, connect with others who are doing innovative work, and nudge the industry along. This group has collectively pushed manufacturers to offer the equipment we need for large-scale electrification and seeded the MEP 2040 initiative.
Meeting in person, we’ll have the opportunity to:
- Nerd out with others who are as passionate as you about sustainability
-
Gain the confidence to push clients on sustainable approaches because you know you’re not alone in doing it
-
Share experiences with cutting-edge solutions, warts and all
-
Connect with like-minded architecture firm sustainability leaders in an overlapping session
(Some engineers just want to design systems. If that describes you, then this event is NOT for you.)
Specific topics that have been suggested include:
- How best to collaborate with architects, including those who are feeling disempowered by the focus on systems for decarbonization
-
The future of refrigerants
-
A commodities-based approach to embodied carbon in MEP systems
-
Understanding and maximizing the financing opportunities in the Inflation Reduction act
There will be plenty of opportunities for you to propose other topics. As always, the agenda is entirely up to you, the participants.
