CI-v4.1 EQc2:Low Emitting Materials

Number of Possible points for CI under Low Emitting Materials credit

The Low emitting materials credit in v4.1 guide indicates 1 to 2 possible points for commercial interiors vs v4 which allows up to 3 points. However, the v4.1 checklist for commercial interiors still shows 3 points are possible. Did they reduce the number of possible points for commercial interiors pusuing this credit or is it just a typo in the reference guide?

Hi Nadia, The credit still has 3pts available as far as I am aware. It is wise to check the online reference manual for the most up to date requirements.

Greetings, Michelle + Nadia - has this been resolved?  I just downloaded the April 2023 guide + it still says (1-2 pts) for CI... while the IDC scorecard still indicates 3 possible points.  Appreciate any insight!

Hi Kelley and Nadia, Well I certified a TI in Feb 2023 that got three points for four categories under the v4.1 LEM credit. And I have one now in mid review that received its first round of comments May 17, 2023 and was awarded 3pts for the v4.1 LEM credit. Online forms continue to show it. The v4.1 beta materials have certainly been lacking in detail and have continued to show changes with each iteration it seems. You might try asking a LEED Coach so that you can have an email from them that gives you confidence on this topic.

Hi, Kelley! I'm not sure where you're looking, but the credit language on LEEDuser (which we import directly from USGBC's credit library) very clearly states one to three points, and Table 1 demonstrates how to get one, two, three (two different ways), and even exemplary performance if that's your jam.
