Hi fellow LEED experts,
I have an office project which does not have an Acoustic Consultant (this is an ID project but thought I might get better luck posting it here too as it may also be relevant here).
Questions:
1) Must the measurement for HVAC Background Noise be done by an Acoustic Consultant? Can it be done by the main contractor?
2) How many measurement points of an occupied space type is required? e.g. would 1 private office be sufficient or 2 private offices are required to average out the result? any guidance on this is much appreciated! The ashrae and reference guide doc are not very helpful.
Much much appreciated. Its our first time pursuing this credit and the "Further Explanation" / "Step-by-Step Guidance" sections don't clarify much.
