We will have cogeneration onsite. Do the credit requirements apply to all electricity used onsite, or only that which is purchased from the grid?

Hi All,
I have  project with a solar farm that covers 100% of our energy consumption.
Do we still need to purchase RECs to meet this credit or we can directly score assuming that all our energy is offseted by our solar farm?

Our client doesn't see a point to purchase RECs while they will be performing at 100% renewables already...

To earn the renewable energy credit you must retain or replace the RECs associated with the solar farm. Assuming you do that and you have an all electric building, I do believe that you will automatically earn this credit as well.
