NC-v4 WEc2:Indoor water use reduction

Considering Percent of Occupants for Kitchen Faucet in Hotel/Restaurant

I wanted to know if the percent of occupants can be reduced to reflect that only employees use the Kitchen Faucet and not visitors.

For example, if there are 100 visitors and 50 employees then can the percent of occupants under Kitchen Faucet be kept as 33% and not 100%?

In general, yes, you can adjust the % of users for individual fixtures as long as you can justify the change. It may be appropriate in your calculator file to have the user groups as separate, depending on their occupancy patterns. Either way, be sure to provide a separate narrative explaining your change from 100% so that it's clear for the reviewers. I recommend looking at how the fixture use is calculated already within the calculator. Not every fixture's use is calculated the same way. Showers, for example, already have adjusted equations within the calculator file so that it is calculated for only the users and not the visitors. So in that case, adjusting the % down from 100 would not be justifiable.
