Our project team pursued this credit in conjunction with the MRcBPDO EPD/HPD credits. By gathering the information for the MRcBPDO credits, the products which had multiple resources of product information were more clearly defined and accessible. With that being said, many products though containing EPDs or HPDs, did not necessarily have SDSs or additional information which would have been beneficial in compiling the information required. This was definitely a time-consuming effort but gave the team a better understanding of the products and forced a deeper dive into the product documentation.

Our team found EDP/LCAs to be the most helpful with the environmental impacts and SDS/MHS/HPDs most beneficial for the health impact portion. Sherwin Williams was a great resource, as they have already done an integrative analysis for their paints/coatings. It would be great if, in the future, manufacturers compiled this information themselves, as they are the most familiar with their products. The varying verbiage and formats between manufacturer info and the LEED credit make the process a bit difficult and time consuming. Other manufacturers we used were USG (had EPD/HPD/SDS) and Tarkett (little more difficult to find all the information).
