Goal setting: what works and what doesn't?

Hello, All!

Looking for some quick insight from the braintrust into how to best approach project goal-setting.

We’ve been taking a critical look at goal-setting practices to better understand what drives the gap between projects that meet ambitious high-performance targets and those that don’t. Recognizing that goal setting is a fundamental part of the work that you all do to advance sustainable design, we have created this brief survey to try to capture your opinions on what works and what doesn’t.

Survey Link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VD6XQRG

Survey should take 3 minutes to complete. Results of this anonymous survey will help inform and will be shared at the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) BuildingEnergy Boston Conference this March in a session with Alejandra Menchaca (Thornton Tomasetti), Erik Olsen (Transsolar), Lori Ferriss (Goody Clancy), and myself.

We’ll look forward to sharing the results back here next month as well!

Thanks,

Elaine

Thanks, Keihly – looking forward to being in-person at NESEA too!  Thanks to everyone for the outpouring of responses—you all are the best! As of today, we've received 35 completed surveys—FAR exceeding our original hopes—and the range of responses is yielding interesting insights into our questions.   There’s still time for anyone else who would like to fill one out! Please reach out if you have any questions. Elaine Hoffman, AIA, CPHC, LEED AP BD+C Goody Clancy elaine.hoffman@goodyclancy.com
