Pilot-Credits WEpc94:No Cooling Tower

Pilot-Credits WEpc94 - No Cooling Tower

We would like to know if there is an estimated date of closure.

We have many projects that don´t have cooling tower but attends the requirements of the pilot and have the baseline system designated for the building using ASHRAE 90.1-2010 Appendix G Table G3.1.1 includes a cooling tower (systems 7 & 8).

For this type of projects the option to achieve these points is relevant and have to be considered in this strategy or in another one that can be pursued, resulting in water efficiency.

Hello Adriana. As far as I know "it doesn't matter the date of closure" of the pilot credit as far as you have registered your project for the pilot credit. Once you have registered it, even if the credit closes, you will be able to reach the points. In the case you mention "We have many projects that don´t have cooling tower but attends the requirements of the pilot and have the baseline system designated for the building using ASHRAE 90.1-2010 Appendix G Table G3.1.1 includes a cooling tower (systems 7 & 8)" I would recommend you to follow No Cooling Tower as an alternative compliance path (ACP) pilot credit. That means that, instead of pursuing the credit "Cooling Tower Water Use" of Water Efficiency, you will follow the alternative path "No Cooling Water", uploading all the documents into this credit (not into Innovation). This is the best option for your case because in that way you can earn 2 points. In the case that you pursue "No Cooling Tower" as Innovation, you will get only 1 point. I repeat: AS FAR AS I KNOW. As least, this is how I'm doing for my projects with no cooling towers. If someone else has a different experience, please, let us know!!!
