Hi All,
How are folks funding training for your employees? Would it help to have free training opportunities besides lunch and learns or ones you do yourself?
For those of you outside of Massachusetts you may have employees or friends in MA that this could be relevant to. I'm hoping my friends in MA have already heard this.
I'm really excited to share that Built Environment Plus has just been approved to provide the full PHIUS Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC) training as part of the Commonwealth’s Workforce Training Fund Express Program. This is one of about 50 courses BE+ has approved in this program, to date. Barbra B, Brent E, Chris S, Jacob K, Jim N, and other Gurus are among our instructors. In case you are interested, we are able to have additional courses approved.
What this means:
Any company in MA may be eligible for up to $30,000 of training per year. A company with fewer than 100 employees in MA qualifies for full course reimbursement while a company with more than 100 employees in MA qualifies for 50% reimbursement. Combined with MassSave funding almost anyone in MA can now take CPHC training fully funded.
GENERAL FUND:
BE+ also works with companies on Workforce Training Fund General Grants that can provide up to $250,000 of training over 2 years for MA companies. Learn more about this program. I know Kristen F told you all about this program a couple years ago. We currently have about a dozen firms collaborating with us on these grants.
In our effort to drive the sustainability of the built environment we are working hard to direct workforce training funding towards our industry. Hopefully we are making a difference bit by bit.
