adjacent spaces outside scope of work?

For LEED projects that consist of tenant space within a larger building, do they have to consider adjacencies to spaces outside the scope of work?

Erin, LEED requires the definition of a project boundary, and in our interpretation and experience, projects are not required by the Acoustic Performance credit to consider spaces outside of the project boundary or demising constructions that make up/form the project boundary. That said, best-practices acoustical design approaches typically review neighboring tenant and landlord controlled spaces and consider the adjacency and possible upgrades to demising construction. -Adam
