Hello everyone! I am from Vietnam, we are doing a project to pursue LEED certification, I am interested in the criteria of bicycle vehicles. however I am wondering about the concept of a bicycle network. In Vietnam, motorbikes are the main means of transportation, most of the roads in the inner city are for motorbikes, and of course bicycles are also accessible, but it is not exclusive to bicycle. I would like to ask if it can be considered a bike network path! We are really wondering and waiting for answers. Thank you!

I think the roads would qualify if: They have a low speed limit, and bikes can travel separated from larger vehicles like cars and trucks. I would recommend taking some photos of the streets to include with your LEED submission, and explaining that the mixed bike/motorbike traffic is the norm where your project is located. The bike network definitions are based on U.S. bike infrastructure and don't always translate well to other countries where there is more bike riding without formal bike infrastructure. So you will need to do a little extra work to show the reviewer that your project meets the intent of having a safe and usable way for cyclists to access the project even if the definition doesn't fit exactly.

thank you very much
I will try to clarify and convince GBCI, because in Vietnam there is almost no network for bicycles. Anyway, many thanks for your explanation!

Hi experts!
I have one more problem, that is the location of the bathrooms, it cannot be placed on the first floor or basement, but can only be placed on the 10th floor with facilities such as gym, is there any problem any with our bathroom location, thanks a lot!
