Dear All,
I would like to ask whether any performance period can be selected to assess a project, even it's quite older than the date the project is submitted?
For example, if I submit a project for review on 25/10/2021, can my performance period be from 01/01/2020 till 31/12/2020 or it must be as close to the submission date as possible? Is there any guidance, rules and/or restrictions regarding this?
Kind Regards,
Aris

Hi Aris - for EBOM v4 projects, you have to submit to GBCI within 60 days after your last performance period ends (and all PP's must end in the same 30-day window). GBCI may be making some allowances due to the pandemic, but if you want any special considerations I recommend reaching out to them to confirm your situation and your request before you submit your project for review. This LEEDuser tipsheet may also be helpful: https://leeduser.buildinggreen.com/tipsheet/performance-periods-leed-ebo...

Hi Trista and thanks for your response.
I was actually referring to v4.1. Does the 60 days rule apllies also to v4.1?
Thanks,
Aris

I see, unfortunately the v4.1 O+M Guide isn't very clear on this point. It says "For LEED certification, you will need to define the specific 1 year time period that you would like your performance scores to be calculated for when you submit for certification review. All performance scores must use the same 1 year time period." But it doesn't say how soon after that 1 year period you're required to submit. Probably best to ask GBCI to confirm (and let us know what they say!)
