NC-v4 SSc6:Light pollution reduction

Light Trespass - Consideration for presence detection

Hi All,

We are currently struggling to achieve the light trespass section of this credit on one section of the project. 

As the area being lit is not regulary used, is it possible to use presence detection to switch the lighting on only when its being used? 

Would USGBC accept this solution?

we tried this on a remote factory in Brazil.  GBCI would not allow 'motion sensor / presence detection' to exclude the light from the Light Trespass/Uplight requirements.  apologies for this news.
