Hello SCL peeps,
Thank you to all the people who filled out our 2021 event survey. Your feedback did help us narrow down the options, but it was still inconclusive about whether there’s enough interest in doing an SCL-only Summit.
To stay on schedule with our planning (and to make sure the event will pencil out financially), we need firm commitments from at least 15 people by the end of Tuesday, July 6th. We’d be so so grateful if you could fill out this one question survey ASAP to let us know whether you can commit to a SCL Summit on September 20th in San Diego (the day before Greenbuild). Committing just means that we can count on you registering barring unforeseen circumstances.
Here are some more details about the Summit to factor into your decision-making:
-
This would be an all-day hybrid event, offered in-person and virtually (assuming we can secure a place with good video).
-
Price would be $450 for in-person ticket, $250 for a virtual ticket.
-
In addition to getting to know each other better and advising each other through Troika consulting, we expect to address these two topics based on the survey:
-
Increasing adoption of low-emitting heavy equipment
-
Leveraging cost estimating for sustainability
-
Finally, we won’t be offended if an in-person Summit isn’t in the cards for the group this year! We have tons of great virtual events planned, including our SCL quarterly calls (the next one on ESG), Integrative Design Jams with the other peer networks, and a session on learnings from the Contractor’s Commitment. We’re also planning our first regional in-person get together in Boston, and we may fast-track those for other regions if we nix the in-person Summit.
In short all answers are good answers, we just need them quickly! Again, here’s the one-question survey.
Thank you!
Candace and team
