NC-v4 WEc1:Outdoor water use reduction

Reclaimed water for water filtration project from watershed

I am working on a water filtration project pursuing LEEDv4 certification for their admin building. We are discussing utilizing the watershed wtaer from Bull Run before it is treated for irrrigation. Could that be considered "non-potable" reclaimed water?

Hi Summer, The LEED Reference Guide states: Alternative Water Sources Alternative water sources include reclaimed wastewater, graywater, swimming pool backwash filter, refrigeration system condensate, captured rainwater, stormwater and foundation drain water, steam system condensate, fluid cooler discharge, food steamer discharge, combination oven discharge, industrial process water, fire pump test water, municipally supplied treated wastewater, and ice machine condensate. I'm afraid that watershed water is not listed as an acceptable source for credit compliance. Regards,
