It does not appear LEED give credit for removig all landscaped areas from the exiwting conditions? or at least I cannot find a path for that. New Project Rennovation that is removing all irrigated landscaping. Removing all plant materials and capping irrigation. What is the pathway for this?

Hi Lou,
There is no innovation credit for removing all landscaped areas in the list of 16 innovation credits (https://www.usgbc.org/innovationcatalog?Version=%22v4%22)
However, in LEED guide page 260 (Water Efficiency Prerequisite Outdoor Water Use Reduction), there is a statement that "Projects that have no landscape area automatically achieve this prerequisite."
LEED guide page 289 (Water Efficiency Credit Outdoor Water Use Reduction) also states that "This credit (Option 1 No Irrigation Required) can also be achieved by projects that have no landscape area."
Therefore, if your project has no landscape, then your project complies with the Outdoor Water Use Reduction Prerequisite and earns 2 points from Outdoor Water Use Reduction Credit.
