Hopefully this is an easy one, I just want to be sure I'm reading this credit correctly. The credit language says “points achieved in each category may be added for a total of 5 points.” As I read that and the reference guide, I think the USGBC is using the terms "category" and "tier" interchangeably?
As an example, a project could meet 5% on-site renewable energy in Tier 1 (2 points) and 20% New off-site renewable energy in Tier 2 (2 points), and those points may be added for a total of 4 points for the credit?
