Hi Bethany, My experience with these situations where there are no applicable fixtures within the LEED project boundary/scope is pretty straightforward. It happens frequently with both additions and tenant fit-outs. If you truly have no applicable fixtures within your scope, then your project can document the Prerequisite as N/A and explain why. This approach, however, prevents you from being eligble to pursue any points. The alternative is that you get something within your scope that allows the project to meet the prerequisite; you could then pursue points under the credit, but your documentation would be required to include all applicable fixtures that your occupants have access to / use, whether they are in or out of your scope/boundary. See LI #10214 (although not specifically called out as applicable to v4, the logic is the same to my knowledge). It would be interesting to approach GBCI and ask if--since your project has this scenario, and assuming they have access to a year's worth of operational data--the alternative approach would be acceptable. They would likely require you to formally submit a CIR ($220) for them to rule on a specific approach. They'll tell you for sure, though.
