NC-v4.1 EAc5:Renewable Energy

Project Energy Use_Electric or Overall Energy use?

Hi,

I am a bit confused about this credit. In reference guide it states ''Points are awarded according to Table 1, based on the percentage of total site energy use. Renewable electricity and EAC procurement can only be applied to project electricity use or district energy use. Captured bio-methane can only be applied to project fuel use.'' What does it mean? Is the total energy sum of electric + heat/thermal energy or is it sum of only electric energy from all sources? And what does it mean by Renewable electricity and EAC procurement can only be applied to project electricity use or district energy use?

It'd be really helpful if somebody could give me some pointers about it.

Thanks a lot :)

These two sentences do not appear in the Reference Guide I have dated July 2020 - "Renewable electricity and EAC procurement can only be applied to project electricity use or district energy use. Captured bio-methane can only be applied to project fuel use." Total site energy use should include both electricity and any other applicable fuel source.
