Schools-NC-v4 WEp2:Indoor water use reduction

WEp2 Compliant Dishwasher

Hi,

I am having a hard time finding undercounter dishwashers that comply with Table 4. Standards for appliances. If anyone knows of any compliant product, can you please share it?

Is the requirement for a typical use or a heavy (maximum water) use? Also, is the requirement for each "use" or each "wash cycle"?

If undercounter dishwasher cannot exceed 6.0 L per rack for each use at this maximum setting, it seems like this requirement is very challenging to meet.

I would appreciate your inputs. Thank you in advance.

This is an older response at this point, but hopefully still useful. Be sure you're looking at the correct dishwasher type. If it's a dishwasher in the school's cafeteria kitchen, it's likely a commercial version, and yes, the 6.0 liters/rack applies, and that would be considered the maximum (if it were anything other than that, it would be stated in the Ref Guide language). If it's a dishwasher in a smaller area, such as a break room for the staff, it would more likely carry the residential-style requirements under the regular credit language.
