Under Step-by-Step, Whole-House Ventilation, Step 2, delete the third bullet: "Multifamily midrise and attached single-family home projects using exhaust-only ventilation must specify how outside air is delivered to the living space at the flow rate required by ASHRAE 62.2–2010. Outside air cannot come from interior hallways or any other interior space, including adjacent units (see Further Explanation, Multifamily Ventilation Strategies). Trickle vents are a common strategy for providing make-up air. Products that allow the occupant to partially or fully close the trickle vents are recommended."
Under Further Explanation, Multifamily ventilation strategies, in the third paragraph, modify the first sentence: "Consider providing outside air through multiple trickle vents in each unit or with an outside air duct directed to the return plenum of the HVAC system.”
