Is it acceptable to locate the AHU in a sealed mechanical closet or room that only opens into the garage - in a multi-family building? The ruling EQ 10-09a seems to only apply to single-family homes.
Ruling
Multi-family buildings must meet the requirements in EQ 10-09a. Where a diagnostic test showing minimal air flow (see item #5) is not possible, the project team must still fully air seal the AHU closet but verification of the air sealing can be conducted visually by the Green Rater.
