Do Providers or Green Raters have discretion to deny certification to a project on the basis that a) the home poses a safety or human health concern, or 2) the intent of ID 2 (durability planning) was not met?
Ruling
Yes. If the verification team is uncomfortable approving a project for certification because it poses a safety or human health risk, this is grounds for denying certification. In a case like this, please provide USGBC staff with the address of the project, project team contact information, and a brief explanation outlining the relevant prerequisite and reasons for denying certification.
