Please clarify what is intended for a "single throw supply valve". Is this a ball valve? And does it mean a single valve on each line (hot and cold) or a single valve controlling both lines (since it is described in the singular)?

Ruling

Any valve that enables the homeowner to simply turn off the water with a single motion is allowed. There must be a single valve that shuts off both the hot and cold.
