For gut -rehab projects, where most of the site is pre-existing designed landscapes and may include turfgrass, what should be included in the calculation for SS 2.3? All existing designed landscapes, or only newly designed landscapes (i.e. areas of the site disturbed during the rehab)?
Ruling
This credit only applies to landscape softscapes that were designed as part of this project. Any existing landscaping, including turf, that was pre-existing and not disturbed during the scope of the LEED project should not be counted in the calculation.
