CF stands for "control factor". Control Factor is based on the type of controls installed, such as weather-based or moisture sensor-based systems. If no moisture sensor, rain-delay controller, or flow-control sensor is used, CF = 1.0. A controller that is estimated to reduce overall irrigation has a CF of 1 minus the fraction of overall irrigation water saved. For example, a controller that saves 10% has a CF of 0.90. This number must be supported by either manufacturer\'s documentation or calculations by a landscape professional.
