Can HVAC condensate be counted as greywater for this credit?
HVAC condensate can be used to earn credit WE 1.2. Although HVAC condensate is not technically graywater, it is an acceptable source of water for the purposes of this credit. The project team must demonstrate through calculations that the HVAC condensate, on its own or in combination with other sources, will exceed 5,000 gallons per year. For multi-family buildings, the total must exceed 5,000 gallons per year per unit. If the HVAC condensate is used in combination with other sources, the project team must describe these sources.
