Does a project have to have the IAP label in hand prior to earning these points? If a project has the IAP checklist filled out by a HERS Rater, but the home is not ENERGY STAR certified, should the points in EQ 1 be awarded?
The project must meet all requirements of the Indoor airPLUS program, which includes being an ENERGY STAR certified New Home. A project is considered to have earned the IAP as soon as the energy rater completes and signs the verification checklist. The actual label is not required. Applicable Internationally. updated 10/1/14 to clarify ENERGY STAR certification requirement.
