For pipe located in exterior wall cavities, can the credit be met by surrounding the pipe with spray foam insulation?
Ruling
This credit can be met using cavity insulation, but the pipe must be insulated in all sides - e.g. by positioning the pipe in the center of the cavity, or by including additional exterior insulation.
