For parts (b) and (c), do the maximum branch lengths in multi-story homes apply to all fixtures, or only those fixtures on the 2nd, 3rd, etc. floor? For example, in a 2-story home, can the branches to first floor fixtures be 30 feet away (for 10-ft ceilings) or does that only apply to second floor fixtures?
The maximum branch length differs for each story in a multi-story home; the longest branch length allowance does not apply to all fixtures in the home. For example, branches to first floor fixtures may not exceed 20 feet; branches to 2nd story fixtures may not exceed 20 feet + 1x the floor-to-floor height; branches to 3rd story fixtures may not exceed 20 feet + 2x the floor-to-floor height; etc.
