ID Request for the use of the Superior Wall pre-cast foundation wall system as a replacement for poured-in-place foundation walls. This system will reduce the amount of Portland cement in the wall system.
One ID point may be awarded for the use of the Superior Wall pre-cast foundation wall system, or a similar pre-cast insulating foundation wall system, on the following conditions:
• This system is used for all below-grade walls;
• The project uses below-grade walls to support at least half of its conditioned space;
• The project team must demonstrate with detailed calculations that the system reduces the amount of Portland cement used by at least 80% compared to a poured-in-place system.
If these conditions are not met and verified, a detailed project-specific IDR may be submitted.
