Areas with synthetic turf should be treated like an impermeable, non-vegetated surface. Specifically, areas with synthetic grass should be excluded (i.e. removed from both numerator and denominator) from the calculations for SS 2.3, SS 2.4, and SS 2.5 / WE 2.3. Areas with synthetic grass should be counted in SS 4.1, and only awarded credit if they meet the requirements for parts (b) or (c).
