Regarding LL Credit 2 and the definition of "prime soils". We have performed the research through NRCS and found that the soils are identified as "prime if irrigated". If this is the classification, is this credit for site selection unavailable to us? In other words, is land designated as "prime if irrigated" included in the land that is protected under part (e)?
Land that is designated as "prime if irrigated" is included under part (e). In other words, if a project is located on land that is designated as "prime if irrigated", it should not be awarded LL 2. Projects that are located in areas that are designated as other "prime if" classifications (e.g., "prime if protected from flooding", "prime if irrigated and drained", etc.) should submit a project-specific CIR with detailed information about the particular soil classification.
