Homes constructed with SIPs can earn credit under MR 1 as follows:If SIPs are used for all walls, floor, and roof; AND all SIPs are pre-cut, then the project must be awarded 4 points under MR 1.5.If SIPs are used for some of the components (e.g., only walls, or only walls and roof), then the project can earn MR 1.2 and MR 1.3 if all SIPs are pre-cut AND the requirements of MR 1.2 and MR 1.3 are met in the remainder of the home (i.e., in the portion of the home with stick framing).Homes with SIPs that are cut on-site cannot earn credit under MR 1.2 or MR 1.3, without submitting a project specific CIR that describes how the intent of these credits was met.Note that SIP homes cannot earn credit for pre-cut framing packages under MR 1.4.
