For EAc2, On-Site Renewable Energy, the Reference Guide states that there is no exemplary performance point available for this credit. In the LEED-NC Reference Guide, under EAc2, it also states that there is no exemplary performance point available for this credit. This has since been corrected in the document titled "LEED-NC v2.2 and California Title 24-2005." This document has set the threshold for an ID point, for EAc2 at 17.5%. Will LEED-CS recognize an exemplary performance for EAc2, and if so, what is the threshold?
An errata item has been recently published to address this CIR. The CSv2.0 errata are published here: http://www.usgbc.org/ShowFile.aspx?DocumentID=2951 With regards to EAc2, the erratum states: Under the heading "Exemplary Performance" replace the existing text with the following: "Projects that demonstrate 5% on-site renewable energy production as a percentage of the building annual energy cost will be considered for one additional point under the Innovation in Design category."
