Inquiry

We are working on a 5 story 690,000 sf office building on a 52 acres site in Long Island, New York. Currently, 100% of the storm water for a 24 hour 1 and 2 year (a 2.7" storm or 3.5" storm) is infiltrated on existing site. The proposed site is designed for zero runoff for a 24 hour, 9" storm by the following methods: -infiltration -harvesting rainwater for cooling towers and make up water for wet ponds -Bio swales -Drainage reserve areas/retention ponds -Drywells with water quality units -Parking structure This exceeds the amount of water which would be produced by a 100 year storm. If the existing site cannot handle anything close to 9" storm and please let me know if this qualifies for an innovation credit.
