EQ 2.1 requires a CO monitor on each floor. This project has no combustion equipment, so the builder wanted to know if it was acceptable to only have a CO monitor on the first floor, since CO sinks.
Ruling
A CO monitor is required on every floor, regardless of the type of equipment in the home or the presence/absence of a fireplace or attached garage.
