For the Floor / Flooring component, how should credit be awarded for Low Emissions if a project has some carpet and some hard-surface flooring?
Ruling
A project can earn 1/2 point for low emissions flooring for any of the following:
• at least 90% of the flooring is CRI Green Label Plus carpet with CRI Green Label pad, OR
• at least 90% of the flooring is hard surface flooring, OR
• at least 90% of the flooring is a combination of CRI Green Label Plus carpet (with Green Label pad) and hard surface flooring
A project can earn an additional 0.5 pt (1 pt total) for low emissions flooring if 90% of the total flooring is SCS FloorScore certified.
