Could a gravity-fed direct-use grey water system earn this credit, even if no dosing basin or storage tank is included?

Ruling

A project that wishes to earn WE 1.2 without a dosing basin must submit a project-specific CIR that describes the proposed design, including:
• The fixtures / appliances from which graywater will be captured
• The typical rate of graywater that will be captured.
• The landscaped area (in square feet) that will be irrigated by the gray water (outdoor application) AND/OR the appliances / fixtures that will use the graywater (indoor application).
• If more graywater is collected than usual, how will the system handle the excess?
• If the landscaping is already saturated with precipitation, what will happen to the graywater? (outdoor application)
As an aside, the TASC recommends that an Accountability Form be required for WE 1 for the next version of the Rating System, and that a requirement be added for controlling the flow from the system.
Updated 10/1/13 for rating system applicability.
