Yes - motion sensors are an acceptable method for satisfying this part of the credit, as long as the motion sensor is designed to activate the demand-controlled pump and there is a time delay after the initial trigger to shut off the pump. The sensor should be installed in a way that the pump is only activated if someone is very close to the faucet or shower.
